The smaller 10p coin was issued on 30 September 1992 and as of 31 December 2005 there were an estimated 1,587 million 10p coins in circulation.
In 2018 and then again in 2019 a new series of 10p coins were released into circulation by the Royal Mint, featuring the A-Z of British icons. With a limited release they have become highly collectible by coin collectors. The mintage figures have been released for the 2018 A-Z and 220,000 for each letter has been put into circulation making them relatively rare. That makes each letter only a fraction more abundant than the Kew Garden 50p, which was minted just 210,000 times and frequently sells for upwards of £120.
The hunt is on to collect the full set of A-Z of 2018 and 2019 Britain coins. Here is a visual guide to help you identify each letter.
